FYI

Colonel,

I figured some of your readers aren’t aware that today is the 110th birthday
of Frank Buckles, America’s last living veteran of World War 1. He lied
about his age and joined the military at age 16, drove an ambulance in
France during the war, and spent three years as a Japanese prisoner in World
War 2.

I watched the news closely this morning. Lots of stuff about shallow,
self-serving people, and not a single word about this true American hero.
