Wheels Helping Warriors, a program of the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America

For nearly 70 years, Paralyzed Veterans of America has been on a mission to change lives and build brighter futures for our severely injured heroes. The goal of the organization is to empower these brave men and women by helping to provide what they need to achieve the things they fought for: freedom and independence.

Locally, the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter works to help provide Tampa-area paralyzed veterans access to free employment counseling, benefits assistance, advocacy, adaptive sports and recreation programs and more. They also provide grants and scholarships to medical professionals for continuing education and research that promote health care advancements for veterans suffering from spinal cord injury, disease or dysfunction.

Currently the Paralyzed Veterans of America Florida Gulf Coast Chapter is raising awareness of its vehicle donation program called Wheels Helping Warriors. The Wheels Helping Warriors vehicle donation program accepts new and used vehicles regardless of their condition. Pickup is free of charge and donations are tax-deductible. The funds generated through Wheels Helping Warriors help support Paralyzed Veterans of America programs, services and the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter’s local outreach.

Over 435,000 veterans live in the eight counties surrounding Tampa. Your support will go a long way in spreading the word about this program and encouraging donations from organization and individuals who can collectively improve the lives of those veterans in our area with a disability.
If you have any questions or need additional information about the Paralyzed Veterans of America or accessing their local services, please contact Lisa Santiago, Executive Director of Florida Gulf Coast PVA at 813-264-1111. To schedule a vehicle pickup, the Paralyzed Veterans Wheels Helping Warriors donation representative can be reached at 1-866-841-2023.
