Testimonials
ETHIOPIA

In 2011, John and Sandy Searles were on safari in Ethiopia when Mr. Searles suffered a stroke. After being notified by satellite phone, Global Rescue deployed a critical care transport team member to Ethiopia while the Global Rescue operations centers coordinated with the Searles’ guides to arrange immediate evacuation to a local hospital in Addis Ababa. Global Rescue’s deployed personnel arrived at the hospital and worked closely with the attending neurosurgeon and Johns Hopkins physicians to oversee the life-saving care provided to Mr. Searles. Once he was stabilized, Global Rescue provided a commercial medical escort to Mr. Searles to the home hospital of his choice in the U.S.
