This
position will serve as part of a comprehensive team of health care
professionals providing high quality outpatient care and emergency
services in the Onsite OHS Health Center. Assist in the management of
patients seen at the center, both during clinic session and management
after clinic. Provide patient education regarding disease processes,
medications, etc. and develop educational material.

Responsibilities
•
Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport
with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to
understand care requirements
•
Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring
health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or
recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing
division’s philosophies and standards of care set by state board of
nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency
regulations
• Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
•
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with
procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health
care support personnel
• Protects
patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and
protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and
controlled substance regulations
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records
• Completes any and all triage duties as needed
•
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance
requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting
malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories;
evaluating new equipment and techniques
• Serves as a resource in a team environment
• Provide emergency services and coverage for all defined client personnel
• Work efficiently with EMR system
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Current nursing license required
• Nursing registration required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• ITLS, PHTLS, ATLS, or similar required
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a nurse
• Knowledge of professional standards of care
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationship with others.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English orally and in writing
• Basic computer skills
• Should have experience on deployed contingency operations or similar medical experience
