Job Responsibilities
This position will serve as part of a comprehensive team of health care professionals providing high quality outpatient care in a state/government hospital. General responsibilities include: Cutting, staining, mounting, grossing, and performing special procedures on specimens of human tissue to provide data on functioning tissues and organs. Histotechnologist will also act in a teaching role to the Azerbaijani employees.

Job Requirements
Experience:
• Two (2) plus years’ experience as a working Histotechnologist required
• Vast Clinical Experience and Knowledge required
• Military Service with deployments to other countries preferred but not required

 Required Credentials:
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education
• Graduate of a clinical education in a histotechnician (HT) program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS)
• HTL (ASCP) certification
• BLS certification
• Lab Computer skills
• Proficient with various lab equipment
• Three (3) Letters of Recommendation
• Must have a current U.S. Passport
• Must have a current U.S. Driver’s License

Qualifications:
• Be physically able to perform physical duties such as heavy lifting, kneeling, bending, etc.
• Have a leadership mentality with a positive attitude
• Ability to function as part of a team, as well as work independently
• Knowledge of professional standards of care
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationship with others
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office software and general computer navigation skills
