"By" Statements

Resume Writing Tip

I hope all is well.  I would like to take a few moments to introduce to you
what I call the "by" statement.  This statement will allow you to tell how
you perform documented task.  See the example below:

Before - Facilitate training for transitioning Marines.

After - Facilitate training for transitioning Marines by conducting
one-on-one counseling and surveys to assess their needs.
             Utilize Microsoft PowerPoint to develop slide presentations for
training.

Notice how I took the before statement and utilized it to generate two
statements that complement one another.  The after statements also
demonstrates how I perform the before task.  This formula is for both the
private sector and federal resumes.
