Job Description:
Rig/Clinic Paramedic
Job Duties:
Provide medical support in semi-permissive environment. The Rig/Clinic Paramedic will work under the supervision of a Medical Director. You will work in a wide variety of missions that may include, but not limited to support for civilian contractors, and coordinate work with foreign military, and medical evacuations. The Rig/Field Medic will perform as an integral team member and take part in all duties assigned. Provide emergent and non-emergent medical support such as treatment of minor acute illnesses in field and clinical conditions to include but not limited to fluid resuscitation, hemorrhage control, hemostatic agents, airway support and primary acute clinic care. Majority of patient population is Korean. Paramedic must be fluent in Korean.

This is a notional position contingent upon contract award.
The responsibilities of Paramedic will include but are not limited to the following:
•             Providing health and medical care to site workers on a 24-hour basis, 365 days of the year
•             Conducting administrative duties to include logistics coordination, telephone communication, clerical duties, and various computer tasks.
•             Communicating clearly at all times.
•             Completing all patient documentation and forms as required by the company.
•             Conducting regular inventory and equipment testing to insure all equipment is present, clean, and in proper working order
•             Documenting and reporting all needed supplies and repairs of medical equipment for proper job performance.
•             Completing all required company reports and logs.
•             Having the ability to think and react quickly and appropriately in stressful situations.
•             Provide advice, support and training
•             Promotion of healthy lifestyle initiatives including fitness, alcohol awareness
•             Hygiene inspection
•             Supporting health and safety initiatives

Required Skills
Requirements:
•             Equivalent non-U.S/Canadian Paramedic education, certification, diplomas and experience
•             Approved US Paramedic Program or equivalent
•             US State Paramedic License or equivalent
•             Current Medical Registration
•             Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and
•             Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
•             Trauma Management Certification
•             Experience training and working with multi-national personnel.
•             Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operational and medical field,.
•             Previous international experience is preferred but not mandatory
•             Experience of working in the military or on expeditions may be beneficial
•             Good levels of health and fitness
•             Computer literate
•             Must be Fluent in Korean.

Additional Requirements:
•             Fluent in both Korean and English is required as majority of patient population is Korean.
•             Successfully pass medical, physical fitness, dental and psychological screening.
•             Successfully clear background check including a criminal background screening with fingerprints, financial and educational checks.
•             Unrestricted Driver’s License from country of origin.
•             Current Unrestricted Passport from country of origin.
•             Excellent communications skills.
•             Ability to wear body armor 60+ Lbs for extended periods.

Required Experience
Working Conditions:
•             Deployment to semi-permissive areas.
•             Seven 12hr shift minimum per week with periods of longer shifts likely, as required by sponsor.
•             24/7 availability.
•             Two "sick calls" will be performed daily.
•             Meals and Housing provided while deployed
