City Of Houston Office of Veteran’s Affair

Mayor Parker has a heightened concern for our returning troops over the 21% unemployment rate they are experiencing.  As such she directed me to work with the City's special events office to host a veterans job fair in conjunction with the November 11th Veteran's Day ceremony and parade at City Hall.  The job fair is being sponsored by AT&T to reduce costs for companies willing to come to the event.  Tents will be set up around the reflecting pond and expanded into Tranquility Park as needed.
