Licensed Dietitian –  Harrisonburg, VA
Progressive, employee-friendly OHS is seeking part time, qualified Licensed Dietitian to provide medical services to designated beneficiaries in a clinical setting in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Perform a full range of professional services expected of a Licensed Dietitian on site, using furnished facilities, equipment and supplies to a variety of patients. Case-load will include scheduled patients.  All aspects of the services provided shall be commensurate with the capabilities of the provider including but not limited to the items listed below.

Job Duties:
Conducts nutritional assessments for patients
Participates on interdisciplinary treatment teams and attends meetings to discuss and develop patient care plans
Reviews patients' diet orders and calculates and recommends changes
Provides nutritional assessment and consultation to the nursing and medical staff
Implements, evaluates and reports results of the clinical quality improvements
Liaison and report to higher facility as required for patient's continuum of care
Work collaboratively with healthcare team in Primary Care
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from a U.S. regionally accredited college or university, and fulfilled each of the following criteria:
Completed a didactic program in dietetics accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE)
Completed a CADE accredited supervised practice program
Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing branch of the American Dietetic Association (ADA)
All applicants must be registered with the CDR
Ability to plan and organize work of considerable difficulty and responsibility under minimal supervision
Ability to participate in research and performance improvement studies
Knowledge of, and ability to, apply the basic principles of enteral and parenteral nutrition support
Knowledge of the principles and practices of clinical dietetics and medical nutrition therapy in order to plan, develop, and independently coordinate medical nutrition therapy intervention, interdisciplinary care plans, and nutrition education activities
No loss, reduction, restriction, or revocation of clinical privileges at any institution
No pending litigation for medical malpractice
No current or pending felony criminal charges
Physically capable of performing all Licensed Dietitian services with reasonable accommodation
