participating in the September 23 Honor Flight are invited to use the Short Term Hourly lot on Sept 23 for free. This is the closest lot to the terminal.
Volunteers and visitors are NOT eligible for these parking passes and must comply with general airport parking procedures.

The suggested arrival time at MacArthur Airport for supporters who wish to welcome home the Honor Flight is 10:30 PM.

application for the annual NYC Veterans Day Parade, produced by United
War Veterans Council, is now open. Featured service is the Air Force and
the Grand Marshal is Buzz Aldrin! Whether you march, sponsor or are a
spectator be certain to get involved on Veterans Day, Saturday, November 11th.
All accepted U.S. Military Veterans Groups, non-profit organizations
serving veterans, and JrROTC units, Military units, and ROTC units march
with no fee for participation. Note: Individual Veterans may apply
independently; may request to join specific groups, or be placed in the
Line of March based on their service era or service branch and they also
march without a fee. Businesses and corporate veterans groups wishing

part of the City's ThriveNYC initiative, the NYC Department of
Veterans’ Services is offering free Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
training to all New Yorkers. MHFA is a groundbreaking public education
program that teaches the skills needed to identify, understand, and
respond to signs of mental health and substance abuse challenges and
