The biggest challenge of being a recruiter is
either dealing with candidates who show interest and then stop
responding. Another huge obstacle would be candidates not being honest
from the beginning on their past, their expectations, or life situations
that could either be a road block and slow down the process or
completely stop the process altogether.
The
best thing a candidate can do from the beginning is clearly set
expectations on what they are looking for and when they can do it. This
sets the recruiter up for success on planning for their hiring, and
allows the right timeline to be set by both the recruiter and candidate.
The more forthright you can be, the better off everyone will be.
