Member Services Officer 3 Relationship Specialist

Seeking MSO 3-Relationship Specialist
Locations: 542 W Teft St., Nipomo, CA 93444, 751 Marsh St., San Luis Obispo, CA 93401, and 8900 Pueblo Ave, Atascadero, CA 93422 US

Under general supervision of the Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of loan and deposit based functions. 

Some of the responsibilities of the job,
•Prepares and processes loan related transaction requests, in person or by telephone
•Actively explains, promotes and cross sells Credit Union services, products, programs and investment opportunities
•Resolves errors, member problems and/or complaints in a timely manner
•Opens new membership and share accounts and cross sells products as appropriate
•Thoroughly understands features and benefits of GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) MBI (Mechanical Breakdown Insurance) and Debt Cancellation (Life, Unemployment, Disability)
•Assists members in identifying loan products and follows loan application procedures
•Assists members in identifying deposit products and follows appropriate procedures
•Performs advanced problem resolution and account adjustments
•Performs duties as a Membership Officer as prescribed under section 202-L of the Credit Union Policy Manual
•Maintains current job knowledge of Credit Union policies, procedures, and services
•Practices cross-selling techniques to promote other Credit Union services
•Makes outbound calls to initiate and process new loan and deposit products from new and existing members
•Identifies and refers new business members and accounts to their respective Branch Manager
•Must be registered and in good standing with NMLS and renew registration each year

Some of the requirements of the job,
•High School Diploma
•Minimum of 2 years’ progressive sales and cross-selling experience in a financial or retail environment
•Spanish bilingual skills, highly preferred
•Knowledge of all consumer loans, including processing and funding
•Knowledge of mortgage loans, including processing of applications
•Ability to be bonded
•Ability to work cooperatively and establish and maintain effective working relationships
