 SCOPE for Ambulance Driver Kosovo:
***POSITION IS LOCATED IN PRISTINA, KOSOVO***
CHSi will provide a medical clinic for the provision of NATO Role 2 level medical care (Damage Control Resuscitation & Damage Control Surgery) in KOSOVO. The Role 2 will support a multinational population of military and civilian personnel. Providing emergency and surgical care, with telemedicine support as well as a full complement of ancillary medical services.
Drive ambulances and assist in transporting sick, injured, or recovering persons. Help place patients on stretchers and lift and load them into ambulances, often with assistance from other attendants. May administer first aid including bandaging, splinting, and administering oxygen. May help restrain or shackle violent patients. When performing their duties, they must be ready to make quick and correct decisions in a calm and deliberate way.

QUALIFICATIONS for Ambulance Driver Kosovo:
Certified Emergency Medical Technician/ Ambulance Attendant-Driver with BLS
Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Emergency Medical Technician/Ambulance Driver.
Hold and maintain a current unrestricted government issued license or practicing certificate.
PREFERRED for Ambulance Driver Kosovo:
Certifications in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) are preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for Ambulance Driver Kosovo:
Will assist with patient administration; vital signs; post-operative, intravenous, and intramuscular medications; cardiopulmonary resuscitation and resuscitative trauma care; along with other duties as determined by the primary medical providers that do not exceed the scope of practice.
Respond to calls for emergency medical assistance, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or bandaging a wound.
Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment.
Provide first-aid treatment or life support care to sick or injured patients.
Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
Transfer patients to the emergency department of a hospital or other healthcare facility.
Report their observations and treatment to physicians, nurses, or other healthcare facility staff.
Document medical care given to patients.
Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.
Assists with the managing of day to day activities and prioritizing tasks.
Operates personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software.
Complies with all applicable CHS standards and guidelines.
All Health Care Providers (HCPs) will document care delivered and follow up care required.
Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Use and maintain common emergency equipment, such as backboards, suction devices, splints, oxygen delivery systems, and stretchers.
Maintains the highest regard for patient dignity and observe the precepts of the American Hospital Associations Bill of Rights for patients.
All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which CHS is recognized.

Position is notional, contingent upon contract award.

Additional duties for Ambulance Driver Kosovo:
All Health Care Providers (HCPs) will document care delivered and follow up care required.
Maintain HIPPA certification.
Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS for Ambulance Driver Kosovo:
Must have a valid, current Driver’s License from country of origin.
Must have a current passport from country of origin.
Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write and communicate in English.
Shall demonstrate proficiency in the use of basic word processing programs and the CHS Medical Management System software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS for Ambulance Driver Kosovo:
Must be confirmed by a medical examination to be “medically and dentally fit” in accordance CHS Medical Readiness Guidelines and Policies and/or as dictated by the Client.
No conditions that would prevent the wear of personal protective equipment; including protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor and chemical/biological protective garments or conditions that would prevent the capability of donning, lifting or carrying of up to 70 lbs. of referenced gear while running to a bunker or protected area in the face of perceived or imminent danger.
