The JAVA Software Engineer Charlottesville VA will provide analysis services for the definition of requirements and designs in support of the customer’s Web-based infrastructure, applications, and systems. The Software Engineer will provide software engineering services for the modification and enhancement of the organization’s Web-based infrastructure, applications, and systems for performance, user features, security, integration and reliability upgrades.  The primary support areas include web services and web development and web portals.  The Software Engineer will test, debug, integrate, and document (including accreditation documentation) new and or modified software in accordance with the customer’s standards, guidelines, and procedures.  The Software Engineer will upgrade software as necessary to ensure interoperability and compatibility with the customer’s infrastructure.  They will analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software problems, provide training, and customer assistance.

Requirements for JAVA Software Engineer Charlottesville VA
Provide requirements development and implementation using Agile processes writing epics and user stories.
Provide web services and movement of data within and between networks.
Provide Web development and Enterprise Web Services
Provide support with deployment into a dev, test and then production environments.
Implement Web Services providing systems engineering, systems architecture, and analysis support.
Provide support for front-end web development built on Bootstrap, Angular and other JavaScript frameworks.
Expertise in working with the IP
Maintain Technical Documentation and maintain and update technical documentation

Required Qualifications for JAVA Software Engineer Charlottesville VA
Experience with Java, JavaEE, Spring, Grails Framework, Groovy and Angular
XML, XSL, REST and web services design and programming
Familiar with jQuery, JavaScript, TypeScript, XSLT, HTML and CSS
Knowledge of enterprise adapters, XSLT, web services, JSON RPC, Java utilities, ZeroMQ, JMS Queues, Mule ESB, database programming in PL/SQL and Transact SQL, Windows, Unix, Perl and Python scripting and proprietary data transfer frameworks.
Familiar with Oracle Weblogic, IBM Websphere, and Tomcat application servers, creation of Spring web services, SAX, DOM, StAX, and multi-threaded programming.
Prior experience supporting Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
DoD 8570 Baseline Certifications required

Required Education and Clearance for JAVA Software Engineer Charlottesville VA
B.S. in information systems related major or 2-4 years equivalent experience required.
MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI CLEARANCE ; this MUST be verified prior to interview.
