Position: NATO Contracting Specialist

Location for NATO Contracting Specialist:
NATO Allied Command Transformation (NATO ACT), Norfolk, VA. NATO ACT is one of the two NATO strategic military command – the other being NATO Allied Command Operations, Mons, Belgium.

Duration
for NATO Contracting Specialist: 3-year contract. [Incumbent specialist is retiring.] The history of this contract is that this position has strong potential for enduring incumbency, and possibly sole source follow-on awards.

Compensation for NATO Contracting Specialist:
Full time exempt salaried position with benefits. Salary negotiable based upon professional qualifications and years of experience.

Technical requirements for NATO Contracting Specialist
1. 5 years of government contracting officer/specialist experience involving defense contracts
2. Knowledge of FAR, DOD and other contracting regulations
3. Experience using financial management system software system(s)
4. Experience interacting with military officials
5. Final SECRET security clearance (interim security clearances are unacceptable for NATO work)
