Join us for the 28th Festival of Lights Parade in Colorado Springs, CO on December 1st, 2012

Forrest Supervisor Jerri Marr, Grand Marshall of the 2012 Festival of Lights Parade

The 28th Annual Festival of Lights Parade will take place in downtown Colorado Springs on December 1, 2012. It will again feature plenty of entertaining marching bands, beautiful lighted floats and an array of special units featuring car clubs, motorcycles, animals and other floats all decked out with plenty of lights and holiday trim. The theme for this year's parade is: "Home for the Holidays". This year Santa Claus will be riding in an all new hand crafted sleigh, designed and built by David Bullock.

Each year the parade is led by a Grand Marshall and this year we are honoring a special woman who has endeared herself to our community. Forrest Supervisor for the Pike and San Isabel National Forests, Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands, Jerri Marr will be the Grand Marshall of the 28th Festival of Lights Parade. She will be greeted by thousands of Colorado Springs residents who will line the street, getting the chance to thank her properly as she leads the annual holiday parade riding in a beautiful Lexus convertible courtesy of Colorado Springs Lexus.

The parade will start at St Vrain St. and travel south on Tejon Ave. to Vermijo St, Colorado Springs, CO. The parade starts promptly at 5:50 pm.
