IT Generalist

IT Generalist with excellent skills supporting about 20 people.
Must be a U.S. Citizen to apply.

Salary is DoE.  MUST be local to Greenwich and be willing to work nights and weekends if necessary (not likely).
Responsibilities:
•  Works with limited supervision to monitor and maintain all Microsoft Windows domains, servers, and storage systems to ensure reliable operation
•  Works with limited supervision for support of the Telecommunications and call center system.
•  Provides support for various computer based systems in support of the company’s manufacturing systems including shop floor PC’s and time collection systems.
•  Plan for future growth of production systems taking into consideration growth, monitoring, and disaster recovery for all servers and storage systems
•  Produce and maintain documentation for use in configuration, repair and troubleshooting of hardware, software and network operating systems
•  Required to be on-call and available for special duties outside normal working hours.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field

Work Experience:
•  Preferred 3 - 5 years working in a Windows multi-domain environment supporting a minimum of 25 servers and 500 employees
•  Prefer experience with the following technologies – Lotus Notes, AS/400/Web sphere, Microsoft Administrative System Manager, Windows XP/7.0, Windows Server 2003/2008, Symantec Netback up, and NetApp Storage

Certifications:
•  Prefer - MCSE 2003/2008

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•  Required to be able to recognize and resolve issues with minimal supervision
•  Required to work within a team environment to maintain various IT Systems integrity
•  Required to be able to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical personnel
•  Required to possess excellent customer service skills
